The Singaporean band Goose will perform in Hong Kong for the first time in late April, together with local band Kowloon K.
"Goose" is a unique musical style that combines the profound emotions of post-rock with delicate and moving pop melodies to create an intoxicating musical world.
Their live performances are extremely shocking, with both delicate layers and explosive power. Every performance makes people's blood boil and is unforgettable.
Although this is the band’s first visit to Hong Kong, they are already a regular at music festivals in the region, including the 2019 Taiwan Unlimited Free Music Festival, 2020 in::music at the Esplanade in Singapore, and 2022 Taiwan’s LUCfest. Its lead singer, Sammul Sham, is a local product born in Hong Kong.
The works of Hong Kong band "Kowloon K" often express gloomy themes in a light-hearted and unrestrained manner, just like black humor, adding color to the abyss.
Their music combines elements of jazz, funk, and improvisation into sophisticated songwriting. Not restricted by musical genres, they constantly explore new possibilities of Cantonese pop music and present it in a unique and fresh way.
The band was formed in 2019 and was originally an unnamed band. Until one day they unexpectedly received an invitation to perform and needed a band name temporarily. So they came up with the Cantonese word "求其" (pronounced "kaau kay"), which means "casual" or "improvisational".
On April 26, "Goose" will perform on the same stage with "Kowloon K", which makes people look forward to what new sparks their musical collision will create! The meeting of two bands with distinctive styles is bound to bring a wonderful performance full of surprises and creativity.
